NV Crew BU-11 Finalist at Irvine Summer Classic

The North Valley Crew BU-11 team played in their first ever tournament and took second place.  The boys participated in the Irvine Summer Classic over the weekend of June 28-29 and showed that they can play well on the full sized fields.

The weekend started well with 2 wins on opening day, 3-2 over FC Golden State and 2-0 over M B Sun & Sand.  These wins were enough to propel them into the Final match despite their 0-1 loss to Fram CQ in the third match.  The large fields and heat proved to be too much for the boys as they fell to a revamped FC Golden State 2-0 in the final.

NV Crew were a bit short-handed going into the tournament, but Roberto Rivera and his Millonarios came to the rescue loaning them Isaac Aburto and Tommy Murphy who both did an amazing job on defense.
